Missy Goodwin is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Leicester City in the FA Women’s Super League. She has been capped internationally for England up to the under-19 level.
Deearna Missy Goodwin was born on January 27, 2003, in Redditch, England. She attended St Augustine’s High School, where developed her football skills. She played for the youth teams of Birmingham City (2010-2020) and Aston Villa (2020-2022).
Missy Goodwin spent the preseason with the senior team of Birmingham City in 2019/2020 before being registered as part of the first-team squad, gaining first-tier gameday experience although she did not debut.
In July 2020, Missy Goodwin signed with Aston Villa. Initially playing as part of the club’s under-21 academy, she made her senior debut on November 17, 2021, as a 78th-minute substitute in Aston Villa’s 2–1 defeat to Sheffield United in the FA Women’s League Cup.
On January 7, 2022, Missy Goodwin signed for Leicester City on a short-term contract for the remainder of the 2021–22 season.
At the international level, Missy Goodwin played for England U17 in all three qualifying round matches during the 2020 UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship. Missy Goodwin appeared also during the 2022 UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship qualification.
