Maricarmen Reyes is a Mexican footballer who plays midfielder for Liga MX Femenil club Tigres UANL and the Mexico national team. She is the 2022 NCAA Division I and 2018 Concacaf Under-20 Women’s Champion.
Maricarmen Reyes was born on April 23, 2000, in Fountain Valley, California, United States. Born and raised in the United States to Mexican parents, she represents Mexico internationally. Maricarmen Reyes started playing football at an early age. She developed her skill at the West Coast Soccer Academy. In 2018-2022, she attended at the University of California at Los Angeles and played college football for UCLA Bruins. With the club she had 71 appearances and 15 goals, scoring the winning goal in overtime of the final game of the 2022 NCAA Division I women’s soccer tournament.
Though Maricarmen Reyes was eligible for the NWSL draft, she did not register. She decided to join the former Mexican champion Tigres UANL to play in the Liga MX Femenil. With her team, she aims to win the trophy of the Mexican top-rated league.
Maricarmen Reyes won second place at the 2016 Concacaf Under-17 Women’s Championship and first place in the 2018 Concacaf Under-20 Women’s Championship with the Junior national teams.
Maricarmen Reyes made her debut for the senior team and scored her first goal with the Mexico team on September 21, 2021, in a 2-0 win over Colombia at the Azteca Stadium.
