Jule Brand is a German footballer of VfL Wolfsburg and the German women’s national team. In 2022, she won the first Tuttosport’s “Best European Golden Girl” award.
Jule Brand was born on October 16, 2002, in Germersheim, Germany. She was introduced to football at an early age and developed her skills at FC Speyer 09. In 2018 she moved to the youth team of 1899 Hoffenheim. There she played in the U17s and then with the U20s in the 2nd Bundesliga.
After 37 matches and 3 goals, Jule Brand was promoted to the senior team of 1899 Hoffenheim to play in the German Bundesliga later in 2018.
In the 2021/2022 season, Jule Brand and 1899 Hoffenheim qualified for the first group stage of the UEFA Women’s Champions League. They were eliminated against last year’s winners FC Barcelona and Arsenal Women FC in third place. Jule Brand appeared in nine games and scored three goals.
In 2022, Jule Brand moved to VfL Wolfsburg for the 2022/23 season.
At the international level, she played for Germany U16, Germany U17, and Germany U19. With the U17 juniors, she qualified for the European Championships in 2019. At the tournament in Bulgaria, her team won the title and she appeared in four of the matches.
In April 2021, Jule Brand was called for the senior German women’s national team. She debuted against Australia and scored her first international goal. In qualifying for the 2023 World Cup, she has featured in all six games played so far and scored three goals in the games against Israel and Turkey. For the 2022 European Championships in England, she was called up to the squad. The German team reached the final but failed because of England and became Vice European Champion. Jule Brand appeared in all six games.
